What is digital census know how people will be counted

The Government of India is going to conduct a digital census in the year 2025. This census will be different from the census conducted in the year 2011. In fact, in the census conducted in 2011, census officers were visiting people’s homes and collecting information about family members. But this time it will not happen. This time this work will be done digitally. Let us tell you in this news how the digital census will be conducted and how people will be counted in it.

How will the digital census be conducted?

According to the reports coming in the media regarding this, every citizen of India who uses a smartphone will get a form in which they will have to fill the correct information. After this this form will be sent to the Office of the Registrar General of India (ORGI). It is believed that this will not only bring the data faster, but it will also be easier to filter them.

What will happen where there is no internet?

There are still many villages in the country where internet is either not available or is very slow. Apart from this, in many places people do not know how to use smartphones. Now the question arises that then how will such people participate in this digital census. The government has not yet clarified anything on this. But it is expected that in those places where there is no internet or people do not know how to use smartphones, like in 2011, census officials will go there and collect data.
